We believe that students should become enterprising people, ready to embark on new ventures full of boldness and initiative.

Our Enterprise skills of Leadership, Teamwork, Creativity, Problem Solving, Listening and Presenting are fully integrated into our taught curriculum. We work closely with SkillsBuilder to ensure these skills are effectively promoted and carefully assessed.

Several local companies contribute to our Enterprise provision; this includes:

• Providing information and talks to students, including involvement in Successful Lives days.

​

• Contributing to enterprise learning in the Academy, for example through specific tasks or through leading elements of the daily enrichment programme

​

• Providing work experience opportunities

​

• Sponsorship

​

• Use by businesses of the Academy’s facilities (e.g. local performing arts groups and sports providers)
